How Inflection AI’s chatbot could rival ChatGPT – Axios

Artificial intelligence (AI) company Inflection has developed a chatbot which it claims can rival ChatGPT, the chatbot developed by OpenAI which has become hugely popular since its launch at the end of last year. Inflection uses a similar AI technology to ChatGPT called Command, which generates text by predicting the next word or sentence based on the context of the conversation. However, it differs in that it can access the web to provide more accurate answers and has a database of millions of documents to ensure its responses are fact-based. Additionally, unlike ChatGPT, Inflection’s chatbot does not need to be trained for different user cases and scenarios, as it can adapt to individual users and offer personalised responses. Inflection hopes to licence its chatbot to companies in the healthcare and financial services sectors, and currently counts the NHS, Apple and Goldman Sachs among its clients.
